The 29th Scientific Advisory Committee meeting was organized at Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ranchi, on 8 May 2025, in collaboration with the State Agricultural Council and ICAR-ATARI, Patna Zone-IV. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and Vedic chanting.
The meeting was inaugurated by Dr. Anjani Kumar, Zonal Director, ICAR-ATARI, Patna. He was accompanied by Dr. B.B. Singh, Principal Scientist, SAC, and Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi.
Dr. Anjani Kumar emphasized the need to align agricultural technologies with the practical requirements of local farmers. He appreciated the contributions of Divyayan KVK and highlighted that four Krishi Vigyan Kendras are successfully functioning in the region. He also stressed the importance of regularly updating progress reports on the ATARI portal.
Dr. B.B. Singh addressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between scientists and farmers and underscored the need for frequent interface meetings.
In the technical session, officials from Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, and Simdega districts presented their achievements and shared best agricultural practices.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Swami Bhaveshananda, who encouraged the scientific community to continue their committed service for the upliftment of farmers.
