A weeklong programme on the occasion of World Environment Day (5th of June) at Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Jalpaiguri was organized, with a seminar on Plantation & Crop Research, in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission, Jalpaiguri. The seminar was inaugurated by Swami Shivapremananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri on 26th May 2023.
In this event Dr. Arun Kumar Sit, Head of CPCRI, Jalpaiguri has delivered an inspiring speech on the importance and protection of environment. He provided a lot of information about crop research and told the farmers when and how to do plantations for a better result.
Swami Shivapremananda delivered a motivational speech on “Save Trees, Save Lives” and appealed to everyone for a “Green Earth” by planting more and more trees, and thus saving Mother Nature.
Swamijis’ books, photos and posters were distributed to all the participants.
