On 23rd April 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Chengam, organized a sewing machine distribution programme to support underprivileged village women. A total of 16 sewing machines, worth ₹1,50,000, were distributed.
The event began with bhajans rendered by devotees and members of the Sri Saradadevi Tailoring Unit, Chengam. Sri Pondurangan gave a brief introduction, followed by a presidential address by Sri S. Gajendran of Gansor Group of Companies, Chengam.
The programme concluded with the distribution of course completion certificates and sewing machines by the Adhyaksha of the Math.
