A one -day spiritual retreat was organised by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Contai (Dt. Purba Medinipur, West Bengal) on 27 August 2023 in the ashrama premises. The programme included Vedic chanting, Gita chanting, bhajan, guided meditation, Pushpanjali, reading from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, Mayer Katha, Swami Shishya Samvad, question-answer session and chorus bhajans.
198 devotees participated in this retreat. It was a day of deep spiritual exploration and rejuvenation for all those who attended the camp.
Swami Mayadhishananda, Secretary of the centre, eloquently spoke about the essence of spiritual living and the need of spiritual retreats.
The guided meditation provided all with a moment of inner peace, tranquillity and introspection, allowing to connect with inner selves on a deeper level. The active participation of the devotees filled with joy in the spirit of devotion during the Chorus bhajan at the end of this program. It created a beautiful spiritual divine atmosphere that touched the hearts of all present.
All devotees partook the noon-prasad at the end of the programme.
