Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi, Hosts Spiritual Retreat for Initiated Devotees
On August 18, 2024, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi, organized a spiritual retreat for initiated devotees in its auditorium. Approximately 250 devotees from various regions of Jharkhand participated in the event.
The retreat commenced with an inaugural song by Swami Ishtakamananda. Shri Samir Chattopadhyay, in his welcome address, emphasized the significance of such retreats. Swami Bhaveshananda, the Ashrama’s Secretary, led a guided meditation session for 20 minutes.
Swami Antarananda, Assistant Secretary, shed light on the Mannat Iti Mantra, discussing different types of Japas and their importance. Smt. Tanushree Sengupta eloquently described the affectionate bond between Sri Sri Maa Sarada Devi and her devotees.
A captivating presentation of the “Swami-Shishya-Sambad” Conversation between Swami Vivekananda and Sarat Chandra Chakraborty was delivered by Shri Rohit Verma and Shri Shaikat Banerjee. Following a snack break, Swami Prabhunamananda presented devotional music.
Swami Bhaveshananda elaborated on the profound relationship between devotees and the Ashrama, highlighting the glorious history of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, which celebrated its 97th anniversary this year.
Sri Vinod Kumar Gaddhyan, President of the Ashrama Managing Committee, outlined the proposed temple of Sri Ramakrishna Dev and urged devotees to contribute to its construction. Several devotees shared their personal experiences of spiritual growth and positive changes in their lives since taking initiation and associating with the Ashrama.
Shri Shyamal Roy concluded the retreat with uplifting devotional songs. All devotees were served lunch prasad before departing for their homes.
