As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Sri Ramakrishna Temple, Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, organized a grand Ratha Yatra on April 10, 2025. The event was held in conjunction with the traditional 63 Nayanmars Festival at the renowned Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore.
A beautifully decorated chariot carrying the sacred photographs of the Holy Trio — Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda — was reverentially taken around the streets of Mylapore. The procession was a divine spectacle, drawing thousands of devotees who gathered with devotion and enthusiasm to witness the unique celebration.
A group of fifty students from the Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home offered a soulful rendition of the traditional Kailaya Vadhiyam in reverence to Lord Kapaleeshwarar. In keeping with the spirit of service, buttermilk was distributed to pilgrims on April 9 and 10.
