Sri Sri Annapurna Puja was celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Math Chandipur on the 5th and 6th of April with great solemnity and joy. The Divine Mother was worshipped in Her clay image, specially crafted for the occasion. Special worship of Sri Sri Thakur was also performed.
The day was begun with Mangala Arati, followed by Vedic chanting, special puja, homa, and puspanjali. A Virat Bhoga was offered to Mother Annapurna with devotion.
The celebration was attended by more than 12,000 devotees and well-wishers, all of whom came to seek the blessings of the Universal Mother. Anna Prasad was distributed among approximately 9,750 devotees.
A Sadhu Bhandara was conducted, and was attended by 34 monks. Kirtans, devotional songs, geeti alekhya, and Kali kirtan were performed on stage by monks and renowned artists.
A drama titled ‘Sri Ramachandrama’ was performed by the students of the Free Coaching Centre of the Ashrama and was warmly received by the audience.
On the following day, after Mangala Arati, a brief worship along with Dadhikarma was offered to the Mother. In the evening, ‘Shanti Jal’ was sprinkled on the assembled devotees, marking the peaceful conclusion of the two-day celebration.
