Sri Sri Annapurna Puja 2025: Manasadwip

The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, observed the Sri Sri Annapurna Puja with humble reverence on April 5th and 6th, 2025. The puja commenced in the early hours of April 5th, continuing a significant tradition as the sole Annapurna Puja celebrated on this island, drawing a large participation of local villagers. The rituals were performed at the nat mandir, accompanied by the recitation of Sri Sri Chandipath. Simultaneously, special pujas were offered to Sri Sri Thakur and Sri Sri Ma at the garbha griha. Throughout the morning and afternoon, the atmosphere was filled with the chanting of Upanishadic verses, hymns, and devotional bhajans.

Following the Sandhyarati on April 5th, a melodious Ma Sarada Nama Sankirtan and various other devotional songs were sung, further deepening the spiritual ambiance. The Annapurna Puja concluded on April 6th with the ceremonial immersion of the clay image in the ashrama’s pond, accompanied by a procession. Subsequently, Shanti bari (holy water) was sprinkled. In the evening of April 6th, after the Sandhyarati, special puja and Sri Sri Ramanama Sankirtan were performed to commemorate the auspicious Rama Navami tithi. A significant number of devotees, 1995 on April 5th and 385 on April 6th, partook of the blessed prasad, signifying the community’s participation and devotion during these holy observances.
