Students’ Excursion to Bablari, Nadia : Nabadwip, February 2024

On a crisp Sunday morning, February 4th, 2024, around 200 eager students and teachers from Free Coaching Centre, Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, and Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa embarked on a memorable excursion to the serene Bablari Siddheshwari Kali Mandir premises in Bablari, Nadia.

Setting off in a vibrant line from the ashrama premises at 9 am, the group walked amidst nature’s canvas – brick kilns, verdant fields, fragrant flower gardens, and tranquil ponds. As the winter sun warmed their faces, the students approached the birthplace of Sri Chaitanyadev’s wife, Lakshmipriyadevi. Here, temple authorities unveiled the rich history embedded within the premises.

After enjoying a delightful morning tiffin in a nearby field, the group reached the majestic Siddheshwari temple. Following a visit to Sri Chaitanyadev’s memorial sites, students burst into joyful energy, engaging in various sports activities.

The afternoon witnessed a delicious vegetarian feast in the temple, with a delectable spread of khichuri, cabbage, beguni, alur dum, chutney, papad, red curd, and rasagolla. The children’s laughter and enthusiasm remained infectious even on the return journey.

The event was graced by the presence of Swami Shyamalananda (Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip), Sri Sabyasachi Mandal (Vice-President, Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip), and Sri Sandip Pal (Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip).
