Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, organized a successful summer camp for students in grades 5 to 8, focusing on moral development. Held from May 15th to 30th, 2024, the program attracted 43 enthusiastic boys and girls.

Each morning, the camp offered a diverse range of activities led by three monastic members, two skilled volunteers, and a guest teacher. Prayer, chanting, meditation, recitation, singing, painting, handicraft creation, and yoga were all part of the curriculum. Through inspirational stories and discussions, the participants were instilled with a sense of discipline.

A delightful snack was provided to the students at the end of each session. It’s worth noting that students from the Vivek Anusheelan program generously volunteered their time to assist with the camp.

The culmination of this enriching program was a joyous Convocation Ceremony held on May 30th, 2024. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Swami Jnanalokananda ji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata.

The program commenced with a welcome address by the Ashrama Secretary. The ceremony showcased the active participation of the students, who offered obeisance to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. Students also performed a beautiful sequence of activities, including Ganesh Vandana, Vedic chanting, recitations, singing, storytelling, and a yoga demonstration. Parents, volunteers, and devotees all joined in the celebration.

Swami Jnanalokananda ji delivered a heartfelt message, blessing the students with invaluable moral values and teachings. Participation certificates were then distributed to all attendees. A delicious tiffin was served to conclude the event, followed by a closing peace chant.
