Ramakrishna Saradashrama, Ponnampet organized a week-long residential summer camp titled “Vasanta Vihara” for boys aged 13 to 16 years. The camp was held from April 28th to May 4th, 2024. Total attendance was 40 students from various regions of Karnataka.
A Well-Rounded Experience
The daily schedule offered a holistic experience for the boys, incorporating:
- Mornings: Meditation, Yogasana postures, chanting of hymns (Stotras) and devotional songs (Bhajans).
- Daytime: Value-oriented classes led by esteemed speakers, creative activities, and the symbolic fire ritual ‘Vidyarthi Vrata Homa.’
- Afternoons: Outdoor games and physical activities.
A Day of Exploration
The camp included a special day trip for the boys, where they visited the Mrutyunjaya Shiva Temple, Puttu Bhagavathi Temple, and Tata’s Tea Garden.
Celebrating Participation and Achievement
The camp concluded with the distribution of prizes to students who excelled in various competitions. All participants received certificates of participation.
