Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tripati successfully hosted a summer camp for students from grades 5 to 10. The camp, held from May 1st to 15th, saw 60 enthusiastic children participate in a variety of enriching activities.
A Dignified Inauguration
The camp commenced with an inauguration ceremony on May 2nd, 2024. Prof. Sri Shrikanth Reddy Garu, Vice Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, served as the Guest of Honor. Sri Jayachandra Reddy, Correspondent of Vidvas High School, Tirupati, also graced the occasion.
A Well-rounded Experience
The camp curriculum offered a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary learning. Students delved into the world of Vedic chanting, guided meditation, Bhajans, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga asanas. They also explored their creative sides through music, drawing, craft (Malagradhana garlands) and moral education. Stories, recitations, and quotes further enriched their learning experience. To fuel their activities, a nutritious breakfast was provided daily.
A Memorable Conclusion
The camp culminated in a grand concluding ceremony held on May 15th. Prof. D. Bharati, Vice Chancellor of Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwa Vidyalaya, Tirupati, graced the function as the Chief Guest. Dr. P.V. Reddy Garu and Sri Atthi Rangarajan, Special Correspondent of The Hindu English Daily, were the Guests of Honor. Student participants showcased their talents through cultural performances, including Vedic chanting, Gita chanting, devotional singing, Yoga asanas, storytelling, and recitations. The program was well-attended by around 60 proud parents.
A Lasting Impact
To commemorate their participation, all students received English-English-Telugu dictionaries. As a token of appreciation, Prasad (a sacred offering) was distributed to all attendees. This summer camp undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the young minds, equipping them with valuable knowledge and fostering a sense of cultural appreciation.
