The Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Chhatrabas Praktani Parishad with the support of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, brought under one umbrella 8 schools of Ramakrishna Mission through a Football Tournament named Swami Prabhananda Memorial Inter Ramakrishna Mission School Football Tournament commemorating the 125th year of Ramakrishna Mission.
The inaugural programme for the Inter Ramakrishna Mission School Football Tournament 2023 held on 22 July. Swami Shastrajnananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, addressed the opening speech for the event.
The participating 8 schools of Ramakrishna Mission were —
Group A : Ramharipur, Jhargram, Baranagar and Manasadwip
Group B : Purulia, Rahara, Narendrapur and Taki
Ramharipur and Purulia went to the Finals beating others and the Football Tournament trophy was lifted by Purulia.
Many of the monastic members and others staff of the 8 schools witness the maches.
Most Revered President Maharaj, Srimat Swami Smaranananda ji, visited the ground at the opening of the final match and blessed the players and organisers and touched the ball with which the final match was played.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony took place on 23 July 2023. Mr. Mehtab Hossain, eminent National Football Player was the Chief Guest of the event and Swami Jnanavratananda, Treasurer, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, was the president of the programme.
