In early June 2024, a devastating tornado struck Tongaat, a town on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast. The twister caused widespread destruction to homes, schools, and infrastructure, tragically claiming several lives. Many families were left without shelter.
Responding to the disaster, Ramakrishna Centre South Africa swiftly launched relief efforts in the affected areas.
The Durban Centre, Chatsworth Sub-Centre, and Etete Satsang Group joined forces to deliver aid in Tongaat. The following items were distributed:
