The Ramakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram, has been actively promoting values education among youth through various initiatives.
On November 12, 2024, the Mission organized a Values Education program for 11th-grade students of Laurel High Global School at the Math premises. The event was attended by 30 students and 8 teachers, including 4 educators from Sweden. The program began with Vedic chants and the recitation of inspiring quotes by Swami Vivekananda. Monks delivered speeches on character-building, self-confidence, and the relevance of Swamiji’s teachings for today’s youth. The session concluded with the distribution of literature on Swamiji’s life and teachings, followed by Prasad.
In another initiative, on November 20, 2024, the Rajamahendravaram center conducted four Values Education programs at various educational institutions in Narasapur, West Godavari district. A total of 800 students participated, and Swami Sevyananda addressed them on the importance of values. Swami Vivekananda’s literature was distributed to all students, and laminated photos of Swamiji were presented to the institutions.
On November 27, 2024, the Mission organized a Values Education program at the Math for 7th-grade students of Sri Shirdi Sai’s Dafne Asiatic E. M. School in Kadiyam. A total of 92 students and 4 teachers attended. The program began with Vedic chanting and the recitation of Swamiji’s quotes, followed by speeches on concentration, character-building, and self-confidence. The session concluded with a Question & Answer session, and literature on Swamiji’s teachings was distributed along with Prasad.
Additionally, the Mission conducted three Values Education programs on November 29 and 30, 2024, at various educational institutions in Kaikaluru, Eluru district, and Bhimavaram, West Godavari district. A total of 1300 students participated, with Swami Sevyananda from the Rajamahendravaram center and Swami Sannivasananda from the Kadapa center addressing the students. Swamiji’s literature was distributed to all the students, and laminated photos of Swami Vivekananda were presented to the institutions.
