Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, successfully organized a two-phased Values Education program aimed at students from Purba Medinipur and Paschim Medinipur districts. The program, which ran from June 7 to September 27, 2024, involved a total of 25 schools and 4 colleges.
Phase I: Cultural Competitions, Youth Convention, and Prize Distribution
The first phase, held on July 22, 2024, focused on cultural competitions, a youth convention, and a prize distribution ceremony. Approximately 400 students from 25 schools and 4 colleges participated in these events.
Phase II: Inter-School Cultural Competition, Seminars, and Prize Distribution
The second phase took place on September 27, 2024, at the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk. This phase included an inter-school cultural competition, seminars, and a prize distribution ceremony. Swami Shrutisarananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, delivered the welcome address. Swami Divyarupananda (Adhyakha of Ramakrishna Math, Naora) and Sri Ranjit Kumar Samanta (Headmaster of Paramanandapur Jagannath Institution) served as the Chief Guest and Special Guest, respectively. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Swami Ekarupananda, the coordinator of the project.
Overall Participation and Recognition
A total of 353 people, including 250 students, 55 teachers, 18 judges, and 30 volunteers, attended the second phase. All participants and judges received laminated photos of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and books titled “Prachya & Paschatya.” The first, second, and third prize winners were also recognized during the program.
