1. A Decade-Long Partnership: The Margaret Noble (Sister Nivedita) Annual Lecture Series

The Dublin Centre has embarked on a significant 10-year partnership with Trinity College Dublin, a renowned institution with a rich history. This collaboration will bring forth the Margaret Noble (Sister Nivedita) Annual Lecture Series, honoring the legacy of this influential figure.

The inaugural lecture, delivered by Swami Sarvapriyanandaji, was a resounding success, drawing a diverse audience of approximately 100 individuals. Distinguished guests included:

  • Michael Jackson, Archbishop of the Church of Ireland
  • Rev. Steve Brunn, Dean of Residence at Trinity College Dublin
  • Professor Nathan Hill, Director, Trinity Centre for Asian Studies
  • Professor Lorna Carson, Professor of Applied Linguistics
  • Adrian Cristea, Secretary, Dublin City Interfaith Forum

This annual lecture series, sponsored by the Dublin Centre, aims to deepen understanding and appreciation of Sister Nivedita’s work in Ireland. It will continue to foster intellectual and spiritual discourse, ensuring her legacy endures.

2. A Deep Dive into Vedanta: Two-Day Retreat

The Dublin Centre recently hosted a successful two-day Vedanta Retreat at St. Francis of Assisi School on November 16th and 17th, 2024.

The inaugural session featured insightful speeches by:

  • Mr. Rutger Kortenhorst
  • Rev. Myozan Ian Kilroy
  • Prof. Siddartha Sen

Swami Sarvapriyanandaji delivered four enlightening lectures:

  • What is Consciousness?
  • The Way to Self-Enquiry
  • What is Maya?
  • The Way to Devotion

The retreat offered interactive sessions, including Q&A and musical performances, captivating an audience of 130 attendees on the first day and 115 on the second. This event was widely appreciated by the Irish public, providing a platform for spiritual and philosophical exploration.
