Koyilandy Ramakrishna Math observed Vishu, the Kerala New Year, with traditional fervour. The sacred Vishu Kani was arranged, consisting of rice, fruits, vegetables, flowers, coins, gold, and scriptures, symbolizing a prosperous beginning. Devotees viewed this arrangement early in the morning as part of the ritual to invoke auspiciousness for the year ahead.
Service to Auto Drivers
As part of the celebration, the Math extended support to the local community by distributing khaki uniforms to 40 auto drivers who serve passengers from Koyilandy Railway Station, recognizing their valuable contribution to daily life.
Celebration with GAP Students and Devotees
A special programme was organized at the temple premises with Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP) students and local devotees. The event began with prayers, Bhagavad Gita recitation, and bhajans. Two GAP teachers gave insightful speeches on the significance and message of Vishu.
Conclusion with Joy and Prasad
The celebration concluded joyfully with the distribution of prasad to all present, followed by the bursting of crackers, adding a festive charm to the spiritually enriching day.
