Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, witnessed a significant milestone on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, as Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Sri Pema Khadu Ji, inaugurated several new and renovated facilities.

The inaugurated facilities included a Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) Plant with MGPS & Oxygen Refilling Station, a Police Chowki, an Emergency & Casualty Ward, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and an Indoor Sports Arena. The Chief Minister spent several hours at the hospital, attending a public function with hospital staff, including doctors.

Senior government officials, including the DGP, high-ranking health department officials, the Mayor, and the MLA of Itanagar Capital, were also present on this occasion.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Pema Khadu Ji acknowledged the significant contributions of Ramakrishna Mission in the field of education and medical services for the development of Arunachal Pradesh, dating back to the pre-statehood era. He emphasized the need for further infrastructural development of the hospital, particularly staff quarters, and assured the hospital of government support for the planned “Smart Ramakrishna Mission Hospital Society” project.

In a positive development, the Chief Minister announced his government’s commitment to providing 130-140 crores for the expansion of the hospital to 200 beds. This announcement has significantly boosted the hospital’s morale and its plans for future growth.

Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, is now poised to embark on the construction of a much-awaited 200-bed hospital project. The hospital aims to complete this project by 2028, coinciding with its Golden Jubilee year.
