Winter Relief and Medical Services: Phoenix, South Africa, June 2025

Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa – Phoenix & Johannesburg Sub-Centre

As part of the Winter Relief Work, essential food, toiletries, and household items were distributed to 160 families in the Phoenix and Johannesburg areas during June 2025. The distribution included:

  • Staple foods: Rice (1260 kg), Vegetables (1500 kg), Cooking Oil (1000 ltrs), Pulses, Spices, Sugar, and Salt.
  • Dry rations: Biscuits (2860 pkts), Breakfast cereal sachets (1520), Tea bags (6200), Loaves of Bread (181), Snacks (357 kg).
  • Hygiene items: Washing soap (60 bars), Bathing soap (79 bars), Toothbrushes (80), Toothpaste (31 tubes), Sanitary Pads (320).
  • Clothing & bedding: Assorted garments (404), Blankets (172), Bedding sets (220).
  • Miscellaneous: Cooked meals (150), School bags (18), Educational kits (300), Prepaid electricity vouchers (2), Seed packs (20), Household items (4 sets).

Some items like chocolate bars, baby napkins, milk powder, etc., were unavailable during the time of distribution.


Medical Relief Work
In June 2025, the Phoenix Clinic conducted 2798 medical consultations, serving underprivileged individuals in the region with dedication and care.
