Ramakrishna Math, Yelagiri, Tamilnadu

Ramakrishna Math, Yelagiri, organized a Winter Relief program and distributed 100 fleece jerseys (small size), shirts, pants, and gowns to underprivileged boys and girls from the nearby Panchayat Union Primary School in Athanavur village on November 14th, coinciding with National Children’s Day.

The event was warmly welcomed by the School Headmistress and two other teachers, who also organized a small program featuring a welcome dance, a song, and a speech by the students.

The new, heavily subsidized fleece jerseys were provided through our Headquarters at Belur Math, while ready-made dresses were generously donated by Sri K Senthil Nathan of Tirupur’s Sri Vivekananda Sevalayam.

Additionally, fleece blankets and jerseys were distributed to the poor, elderly, and infirm residents of 14 hamlets in two phases. The first phase, held from November 9th to November 14th, saw the distribution of 256 fleece blankets and 256 fleece jerseys. The second phase, on November 22nd, included 244 fleece blankets and 144 fleece jerseys (medium size).
