Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani organised the “Dwipakshik Matri Puja” (4-Weekly Mother Worship) on Sunday, February 18, 2024. This program aimed to honour and provide vital support to underprivileged women in the surrounding community.
The program commenced with a calming and uplifting session of Vedic chanting. Each of the 130 underprivileged and elderly women received a Chandan tilak (religious mark) and a garland, signifying respect and appreciation. Recognizing their needs, the Mission distributed essential items like rice, lentils, puffed rice, soybeans, oil, and spices. This distribution aimed to alleviate their daily struggles and provide some well-deserved support.
The program actively involved monks, Brahmacharins, devotees, and volunteers from the Ashrama. Their participation exemplified the spirit of community service and compassion that Ramakrishna Mission embodies.
