Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home, Rahara, Kolkata is continuing the relief services for the people affected by Yaas cyclone.
On 4 June 2021, the Rahara centre distributed ration kits and hygiene kits to 1000 families in the villages of Sandeshkhali Block 2 of South 24 Paraganas — Atapur, Manipur, Tushkhali, Dhuchnikhali and Gajikhali). Total beneficiaries are 4762 persons.
Items distributed to each person : 5 kg rice, 2 kg pulse, 3 kg potato, 1 kg salt, 1 ltr mustard oil, 2 kg chira, 1 kg sugar, soya chunks, biscuits, baby food, napkin, soaps and masks.
Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home, Rahara, Kolkata, started relief services for the people of Balibhara Village, near Halisahar affected by cyclone Yaas.
On 29 May 2021 the ashrama distributed the following materials among 185 families of Balibhara village, under Barrackpore Block-1, Anchal- Jethia of the district of North 24 Parganas. Total No. of beneficiaries: 690
Dry Food Distribution:
555 kgs. of chira, 185 kgs. of sugar, 185 kgs. of chattu, 370 pkts. of biscuits (300 gms. per pkt.), 92.5 kgs. of baby food (500 gms. each pkt.) among 185 familes
Sanitary and Hygiene Items:
185 tarpaulins, Soap 370 pes., Sanitizer 185 bottles (each 100 ml), 740 pcs. surgical mask, 185 pes. toothpaste (100 gms. each), 740 pcs. of toothbrush.
