Youth and Devotees’ Convention: Ranchi TB Sanatorium, September 2024

Ramakrishna Mission TB Sanatorium, Ranchi hosted a successful weekend of spiritual and educational events on September 7th and 8th, 2024.

Youth Convention

The first event, a “Youth Convention,” focused on Swami Vivekananda’s message of character building and self-confidence. Over 125 students and teachers attended, participating in a program that began with Vedic chanting and flower offerings to the Holy Trio. Swami Satsangananda, the Sanatorium’s Secretary, welcomed attendees and introduced the theme. Distinguished speakers, including Smt. Smita Dey and Dr. TK Pratihar, shared insights on the importance of character development and self-confidence for young people. Swami Yatachittananda from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, also delivered a speech, followed by a question-and-answer session. The convention concluded with the distribution of refreshments.



Bhakta Sanmelan

On the following day, the Sanatorium organized a “Bhakta Sanmelan” (Spiritual Gathering) centered on the theme of “How to Maintain Spirituality in a Fast-Changing Life.” Approximately 150 devotees participated in the event, which began with Vedic chanting, flower offerings, and Suprabhatam. Swami Satsangananda highlighted the significance of the topic in today’s world. A guided meditation session by Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of Morabadi Ashrama, was a key highlight of the gathering. Swami Bhaveshananda shared insights into the teachings of the Holy Mother, emphasizing the importance of spiritual living for a fulfilling life. Swami Brahmajnanananda of Purulia also delivered a notable speech. The Sanmelan concluded with a closing song and the distribution of prasad.

The weekend events at the Ramakrishna Mission TB Sanatorium provided valuable opportunities for spiritual growth, education, and community engagement.
