A daylong youth convention was organised by Ramakrishna Mission Calcutta Students’ Home, Belgharia, Kolkata, on Saturday, 7th October, 2023 to celebrate 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission in a befitting manner with the participation of youth from neighbouring schools and colleges.
Total 354 students attended the program. Speeches were rendered by Swami Shukadevanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Saradapitha, Belur Math; Swami Kripakaranandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh; Sri Sakti Prasad Mishra and Sri Paresh Chandra Bera. One group discussion on “Impact of social media and how to handle it” was also arranged, and 13 students took part in that discussion.
The centre also organised a full day devotee’s convention on the ashrama premises, on Sunday, 8th October, 2023 to celebrate 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission. Total 451 devotees participated in the program. Different kinds of programs like Vedic chanting, Bhajans, Meditation, spiritual discourses, questions and answers have been staged throughout the day. Distinguished speakers who delivered speeches were Swami Suparnanandaji, Swami Chidrupanandaji, Swami Devatwanandaji and Sri Paresh Chandra Bera.
