As a part of the 125th Anniversary Celebrations of the Ramakrishna Mission, a Youth Convention was organized at their Vivekananda Cultural Centre Campus (A Unit of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai) Triplicane, on 11 August 2023.
Swami Raghunayakananda in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of youth camps, and how to focus and learn actively. Swami Dharmisthananda gave a brief talk.
Swami Bodhamayanandaji emphasized the importance of our motherland and how youth can contribute to the welfare and development of society while elaborating on his topic “The Urgent Task Before Youth.”
Smt. Varsha Sundararajan, a learning facilitator spoke about how to cultivate the three qualities that are necessary for long-term success in life.
Dr. Radhakrishnan, the former DGP of Tamilnadu emphasized the importance of education during the adolescent years, summarising it with the practical slogan- Develop problem-solving skills and Help others.
Smt. Nithya Rajasundaran, Founder Director, Rolecall, in her interactive session, asked students to identify three core values that they adhere to and provide examples for each.
There were about 220 students from various colleges who attended the programme and all of them were served lunch. Everybody got a booklet on life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
