Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar, as a part of celebrating the 75th year of India’s Independence i.e. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the 160th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, organized a few programmes.
On 20 May, a program was held in the college, comprising of National Flag Hoisting, Vedic Mantra, Song on Swamiji, Swadesh Mantra, brief lecture on Swamiji’s Idea, Call to Youth by Swamiji, Education according to Swami Vivekananda O Bharatiya Navajagaran, Unnata Bharat Nirmane Yuva Samajer Prati Swamijir Ahvan, Swadhinata Sangram o Swadhinata Sangramider opor Swamijir Prabhav etc. – by Students and Teachers. Swami Animeshananda and Swami Vijneyananda gave an inspiring talk. The program ended with a chorus song by students a Patriotic Song. In the end Prizes (Swami Vivekananda’s Books) were distributed among the winners of the competition.
On 19 May, Thursday, a program was held in the college, comprising of National Flag Hoisting, Song on Swaamiji, Swadesh Mantra, a brief lecture on Application of Science and Technology to Build India with Swamiji’s Idea, Call to Youth by Swamiji, Education according to Swqmiji’s Ideas, – by Students and Teachers. Swami Animeshananda and Swami Vijneyananda gave an inspiring talk. The program ended with chorus song by students a Patriotic Song. In the end Prizes (Swami Vivekananda’s Books) were distributed among the winners of the competition. All the attendants were given a Book on Swamiji/Nivedita.
The centre organized a Youth Convention on 15 May 2022 where 178 youths and teachers participated. The main theme of the discussion was ‘Development of Women and Masses of India – in the guidelines of Swami Vivekananda.’ The conference was presided over by Swami Vijneyananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar. The conference started with Vedic Chanting by Monastics. The youth then participated in the opening song and delivered short speeches on different aspects of the thoughts and work of Swamiji. Swamiji’s Swadesh Mantra was read by all participants and Monks. Swami Animeshananda was the main speaker. A question-answer session was also arranged, in which Swami Animeshananda and Swami Vijneyananda took part. Swami Tarakeshwarananda has given a welcome address and Swami Girishatmananda has given a vote of thanks to all participants and teachers etc
