On the occasion of the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission, our Karimganj centre organised a Youth Convention on 26 August 2023.
410 students participated in the convention from 20 Institutions (School & Colleges) headed by one teacher. The programme was started by lighting the lamp followed by the chanting of Vedic mantras, inaugural song by the member of the youth cell, welcome address by Swami Prabhasananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Karimganj.
Swami Jnanalokananda ji, Secretary, Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata and Swami Vedasarananda ji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Key-note speaker respectively. Debosmita Sen, an educationist, also spoke in the youth convention. Students are very much impressed by their valuable speech.
In the speech competition, awards and certificates have been provided to the 20 students who are selected as the best in their Institution (internally).
Before the closing session there was a quiz competition in which 18 groups comprising 2 in each group participated. In the quiz competition 4 schools were found best and were presented with an award.
At the end of the programme, Swami Ramabhadrananda delivered the vote of thanks. All the participants have been provided with breakfast and lunch.
