In connection with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Mutthiganj, Prayagraj organised a Youth Convention on 07 August 2022 in which more than 300 youth participated. The function started with the Vedic Chanting by the inmates of the Ashrama. Swami Karunananda delivered the welcome address. Students of Green Field Academy, Prayagraj performed the opening song.
First Session: Contribution of Swami Vivekananda to the Indian Freedom movement
The first session started with the reading of the Swadesh Mantra followed by speeches. Dr.Ram Prakash Singh, Ex. H.O.D. Mathematics Dept. E.C.C. Prayagraj and Dr Ram Chandra Sharma, Project Director. District Rural Development Authority, Pratapgarh rendered their speeches. The Chairperson of the session Shri Shashikant Mishra Retd. Principal, Ishwardeen Chhedilal Inter College, Jasra Prayagraj rendered the concluding address.
Second Session: Swami Vivekananda’s Vision of an Ideal India
The second session commenced with a song by students of Shakun Vidya Niketan, followed by speeches. Dr Santosh Kumar Srivastava, Associate Professor, Chemistry Dept. and Dr Chandra Prakash Singh, Director Arundhati Vashishth Anusandhan Peeth, Prayagraj rendered speeches. Chair Person Pro. Rishikant Pandey. H.O.D. Philosophy Dept. Allahabad University rendered the concluding speech.
Third Session: Swami Vivekananda the inspiration of youth
The Prize Distribution Ceremony started with a song by Students of Shakun Vidya Niketan, Devrakh Naini, Prayagraj. Pro. IshwarSharanVishwakarma. Chairman, Higher Education Service Commission Uttar Pradesh was the Chief Guest, Swami Akshayananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Prayagraj presided over the function and Shri Raviraj Singh was the Chief Speaker of the programme.
Literature of Swami Vivekananda and a certificate were given to all the winning participants. More than 300 youth attended the prize distribution and the Youth Convention programme. The literature of Swami Vivekananda was given to all participants. Swami Prabhumayananda presented the vote of thanks. Sri Jaydeep Ganguli, Lecturer, English Dept., Anglo Bengali Inter College conducted the programme. The closing song of the ceremony was performed by Students of Green Field Academy.
