As a part of the 125th anniversary celebration of Ramakrishna Mission, a Youth Convention was organised by Ramakrishna Math, Rajkot, on Monday, 11th September, 2023 to commemorate the historic speech of Swami Vivekananda in the World’s Parliament of Religions at Chicago on 11th September, 1893.Â
The programme consisted of speeches by Shri Apurba Bhattacharya, Associate Director, SAC ISRO, Ahmedabad; Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar; Swami Vedanishthananda, Spiritual Director (Designate), Vedanta Society of Geneva (Switzerland); Shri Haresh Dholakia, Popular Gujarati Writer & Educationist, Bhuj; Shri Himanshu Bhatt, President of N.H.R.D. Network – South Gujarat Chapter & Leadership Coach and Shri Kush Arya, Scientist, SAC ISRO, Ahmedabad.
There was also a Cultural Programme by the students of Personality Development Project, VIVEC, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot. Inspiring videos were shown including the documentary on Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech at Chicago.
All the participants were given a set of books of Swami Vivekananda. About 400 youths participated in the programme.
