On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the foundation of Ramakrishna Mission and in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago, a Youth Convention was organised on Monday, the 11th September 2023 at Ramakrishna Mission TB Sanatorium, Tupudana, Ranchi.
The theme of the convention was ‘Swami Vivekananda’s message of human excellence’. More than 125 students with their teachers actively participated in the convention.
The Youth Convention was started by offering flowers to the Holy Trio and lighting the lamp with Vedic chanting. It was followed by the Welcome Address by Swami Satsangananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission TB Sanatorium, Ranchi.
Sri Kamlesh Prasad, Livelihood Specialist, World Bank was the Guest of Honor, who spoke about the ‘Message of Swami Vivekananda for Students’.
The chief guest of the programme, Swami Jnanalokananda ji Maharaj, Secretary, Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata spoke on ‘Swami Vivekananda’s Message on Human Excellence’, which was followed by a question-answer session.
The convention was concluded with distributing refreshment to all the participants.
