Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, successfully conducted Youth Conventions and Cultural Competitions, in the schools and colleges of Purba Medinipur and Paschim Medinipur districts, as a part of their Values-based Education programme.
The programme was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, Class XI and Class XII students from 18 schools and students of 5 colleges participated. In the second phase, students from Class V to X of 25 schools participated.
The competitions were on the occasion of the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission’s foundation. About 24000 students took part in these intra school competitions held from 25 April 2023 to 29 September 2023.
The Prize Distribution programme was held on 29th September 2023 in the premises of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk. In this concluding programme Swami Shrutisarananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk delivered the welcome address. Swami Bhudevananda, Adhyakha, Ramakrishna Math, Bolpur, was the Chief Guest. Dr. Abdul Motin,Principal, Tamralipta Mahavidyalay, was the Special Guest. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks to the Chair by Swami Ekarupananda, Coordinator of the project.
About 360 people including 250 students, 50 teachers, 30 Judges and 30 Volunteers were present on that day. All the participants and judges were given gifts and the first, second and third prize winners were awarded in the programme.
