125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission: Coimbatore


To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission and also the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence, an inaugural function was held at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, on May 1st, 2022.

Srimat Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, presided and addressed the meeting with his words of benediction.

Sri Pradip Kumar, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore District delivered a talk on the significance of Indian Freedom and Role of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in imparting character-building education.

On this holy occasion,

  • a book titled ‘Ramakrishna Mission – The Genesis of an Ascetic Order’ and published by Ramakrishna Math, Chennai was released.
  • “தேமதுரத் தமிழோசை உலகமெல்லாம் பரவும் வகை செய்தல் வேண்டும் (Rhythm of Tamil language should be spread all over the world)”– a weekly blog to promote Tamil language and its literary richness was initiated.
  • Tuition centres were started in Naickenpalayam and Vivekanandapuram villages
  • Yearlong medical camps were started in Sri Bharathi Nagar, Samichettipalayam and Govindanaickenpalayam and Kandhavayal tribal area.
