125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses : Jayrambati

Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Sevashrama, Jayrambati, conducted a special programme on 11 September 2018 to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses.

At 7:00 a.m. a procession was started from the Sevasharma school, comprising of students from more than twenty-eight schools, the teachers, guardians & devotees of Kotulpur Block, Joypur Block and Jayrambati. After visiting Sri Sri Matri Mandir, all walked in the procession with the tableaus of Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Ma, Swamiji, Ma Kali, Jessus Christ, Bhagawan Buddha, Sri Chaitanya Dev, and with Harinam Sankirtan, Bratachari Team, Santali Women Team showing local tribal life-style. The procession had more than 4000 participants, which ended at 08:30 a.m. back to the school.

Students from class I to class IV went to Sarada Auditorium Hall of Sarada Vidyapith, where an audio-visual presentation on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings was shown to them.

From 09:30 am. cultural programmes were performed in the school premises comprising of recitation, songs, short speeches, dance by students and inspiring speeches by monks, and dignitaries from Administrative Office of Education Department of Bankura district.

Refreshment in the morning and noon prasad at the end of the programme had been served to all the participants which was more than 5000 in number.
