Ramakrishna Mission, Siliguri, successfully organized two back-to-back conventions featuring profound spiritual discourses. The events were graced by Swami Sarvapriyananda, Revered Swami Bodhomayananda (Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad), and several other revered monks from different centers of the Ramakrishna Order.
General Convention: “Spirituality and Human Excellence”
Date: 26 February 2026
Attendance: Approximately 1,200 devotees
The convention focused on spiritual awakening and excellence.
Key highlights included:
- Commencement: The program began with Vedic chanting by monks and the opening performance “Jayatu Vivekananda” by the Ramakrishna Bhakta Mandali.
- Welcome Address: Swami Vishwadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Siliguri, welcomed the gathering.
- Key Discourses:
- Swami Bodhomayananda: Delivered a lecture on “Human Excellence.”
- Swami Sarvapriyananda: Provided a discourse on the “Message of the Upanishads.”
- Interaction: A dedicated Q&A session allowed devotees to interact directly with the speakers.

Devotees’ Convention

Attendance: Approximately 800 devotees
Prior to the convention, Swami Sarvapriyananda visited the Jyotinagar Campus at 7:30 a.m. to interact with local monks and devotees. The subsequent convention at the Marwari Palace featured:
- “The Glory of Sri Sri Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji”: A lecture by Swami Bodhomayananda highlighting the lives of the Holy Trio.
- “Divya Jivan” (Divine Life): A discourse by Swami Sarvapriyananda on leading a spiritually elevated life.
- Conclusion: The proceedings concluded at 11:30 a.m., followed by the distribution of noon Prasad to all attendees.
