Ramakrishna Mission (Allahabad) Prayagraj organized a programme in commemoration of the 128th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Chicago Addresses, at the Ashrama’s Vijnanananda Satsang Bhawan, on 12 September 2021. Dr. R. K. Verma, MLA Vishwanathganj, Pratapgarh was the Chief Guest. Swami Akshayananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama Prayagraj, presided over the function. Dr. Sushil Kumar Sinha, President of Uttar Pradesh Nursing Home Association and Dr. Avnish Saxena, President of Allahabad Nursing Homes & Pvt. Doctors Welfare Association were Special Guests and Dr. Ram Chandra Sharma, Director, District Rural Development Authority was the Chief Speaker.
The programme was inaugurated with lighting the lamp and offering flowers. Vedic chanting and Swadesh Mantra of Swami Vivekananda was recited by the members of Vivekananda Study Circle. Welcome address and introductory Speech was delivered by Swami Karunananda. The report on Vivekananda Study Circle was read by Shri Ankit Shukla.
A skilful lecture was delivered by the Chief Speaker at the event, and the Presidential address was given by Swami Akshayananda. Apart from the guests, some students also expressed their regards to Life and Teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the historical World Parliament of Religions which was held at the Art Gallery Chicago, the U.S.A. on 11th September 1893 and its religious effect on India and other countries of the world. A vote of thanks was given by Swami Prabhumayananda.
