Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Prayagraj organised relief camps on 17 October 2023 to serve the poor and needy people of the remote villages of Prayagraj.
First distribution camp was organised at Uchchatar Prathamik Vidyalaya, Matiyara. There the ashrama distributed 53 shirts to boy students and 51 shalwar-kameez to girl students.
Second camp was organised at Prathamik Vidyalaya, Bigahiya. There the ashrama distributed 46 shirts to boy students and 49 shalwar-kameez to girl students.
Third camp was organised at Panchayata Bhawan, Bigahiya. There the ashrama distributed 200 sarees to poor and needy women from 14 villages. (Bigahiya, Naharpur, Mariyampur, Baakarganj, DeraGadai, Shahajipur, Paan ki Puliya, Karaundi, Balakaranpur, Banakat, Khidirpur, Chandpur, Usarahi and Beerpur.)
Fourth and last camp was held at Pandeshwar Shiv Mandir, Padilaa. (The temple where Srimat Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj, one of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, had a vision of Lord Shiva.) There we have distributed 50 sarees to poor and needy ladies of 4 villages — Padilaa, Jaitawaardeeh, Rampur and Dighi.
Total 99 shirts, 100 shalwar-kameez, 250 sarees were distributed to 449 poor and needy people of remote villages of Prayagraj district.
