On December 1, 2024, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Mumbai, conducted an eye camp in the village of Chinchoti Alibaug, aiming to provide accessible eye care to the underserved rural population. 212 patients were screened during the camp.
A total of 88 patients received spectacles, while 61 patients underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lenses (IOLs). One patient was treated for pterygium. Additionally, [Number] patients were referred to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The team, comprising a monastic member, doctors, volunteers, staff, and paramedical personnel, successfully provided quality eye care to the community.
