It is a matter of great joy that the worldwide Ramakrishna Mission has started a new Ashrama in Ayodhya, the holy birthplace of Sri Ramachandra. The new branch was inaugurated on Sunday, 2 June 2019 by Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
Sri Rajkumar Das ji of Sri Ram Ballabha Kunj, Ayodhya, was the Chief Guest of the programme. Sri Hrishikesh Upadhyaya, Mayor of Ayodhya, was the Special Guest. Sri Ved Prakash Gupta, MLA of Ayodhya, and Sri Chandra Prakash Shukla, MLA of Kaptanganj, Basti, were the Guests of Honour.
The Ayodhya branch will function as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Lucknow, and, under its guidance, will provide charitable medical services to the poor and needy people of Ayodhya and also conduct religious activities. It may be noted that Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Lucknow, is running a 350-bed hospital in Lucknow.
