20 Sep 2019: Ramakrishna Math, Kochi conducted the second phase of the Distribution of Bicycles to Girl Students, at Alappuzha Girls Higher Secondary School, Alappuzha.
137 bicycles were distributed to girl students from remote villages of Kuttanadu Taluka of Alappuzha district which was one amongst the worst flood-hit areas in the state. Distribution of bicycles was preceded by a public meeting.
The Public meeting was presided over by the District Panchayat President Sri Venu Gopal, Sub Collector Sri Ramakrishna Teja, IAS, District Education Officer along with Swami Sadbhavananda and Swami Bhadreshananda.
More than 600 people including 137 beneficiaries, along with many parents, teachers and school principals attended the meeting.
Swami Sadbhavanadna, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Thrissur, spoke on Atmano Mokshartham Jagadthitayach, the Motto of the Ramakrishna Mission.
