Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru celebrated the 125th Anniversary of Swamiji’s Chicago Address for the last one year by conducting a number of seminars and personality development programmes. Over 4000 colleges students learnt about Swami Vivekananda’s contributions and the process of building their own personality in the light of his teachings.
As a part of concluding celebrations of the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama organized a two days National Seminar at Senate Bhavan Manasagangotri in collaboration with University of Mysore, Mysuru on 20 and 21 Sep 2019.
About 1100 students consisting 300 residential delegates from our centres of Karnataka and Bhava Prachar centres of Karnataka and 750 non-residents delegates from 18 different colleges, 100 devotees and special invitees from Mysore took part in the program.
Life of Swami Vivekananda in Chicago (in Kannada) and participation certificate is given to all the participants. The program was concluded with a multimedia musical orchestra with songs on and by Swami Vivekananda directed by the famous music director Praveen D Rao and the story writer, narrator Karthick Sargur.
The Ashrama conducted a half-day retreat for 300 youths on 22 Sep 2019. Apart from Life of Swami Vivekananda in Chicago and participation certificate, Condensed Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, Indian Culture its problems and solutions, Life of Holy Trio, Laminated Photo of Swami Vivekananda was distributed to the youth.
