National Youth Day was observed by Ramakrishna Mission, Agartala on 12 January 2020 at Vivek Udyan, located at Agartala Town, in collaboration with Directorate of Secondary Education Department, Information & Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Tripura, Vivek Udyan Sanrakshan Samity, Agartala, and Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal, Agartala.
The programme included a Torch procession and a rally at Vivek Udyan in Agartala at the feet of the bronze statue of Swamiji at 8.00 a.m. on 12 January 2020. Several dignitaries addressed the rally comprising 1365 students, 150 teachers and 500 citizens. Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Tripura, Dr. Prafullajit Sinha, Mayor, A.M.C, Agartala, and Sri Ratan Biswas, Director ICAT, Govt. of Tripura attended the programme as Chief Guest, Guest of Houour and Special Guest respectively.
Swami Hitakamananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Agartala, presided over the programme. Sri Jyotilal Chakraborty, President, Vivek Udyan Sanrakshan Samity, gave the address of welcome. Swami Jyotirananda offered the vote of thanks.
