National Youth Day 2020 at Narendrapur

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur celebrated the National Youth Day on 13 Jan 2020.  The main programme was held in front of the College building. More than 2000 students from over 30 educational institutions including Madrasas and Madhyamik Siksha Kendras from South Kolkata and surrounding areas and more than 3000 in-house students along with over 500 members of the staff participated in this programme. The programme featuring songs, dance, recitation, speeches etc. focused on Swamiji’s great teachings of peace, prosperity, unity and universal brotherhood. As main speakers of the programme were present Swami Shastrajnanandaji Maharaj, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Belur, Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj, Dublin, Sri Suvendu Adhikari, Hon’ble Minister-in-charge of Transport, Irrigation and Water resources in Govt. of West Bengal, Dr. Pallab Das, Chairman, Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality, and Swami Sarvalokananda ji, Secretary of the Ashrama. Food packets and a copy of Swamiji’s Call to the Nation were distributed among the invitee participants while a piece of gaja amongst all others.
