Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi organised National Youth Day on 12 Jan 2021. The celebration started with garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda in the University campus followed by chanting and flower offering by monks of Ashrama and other staff of the University.
The celebrations then carried on at Vivekananda Sarovar in collaboration with the Government of Jharkhand. Notable dignitaries like Dr. Parinita Singh, Vice-Chairman, Indian Yoga Association, Ranchi; Swami Satsangananda, Secretary, RamakrishnaMission TB Sanatorium, Ranchi; Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi; Mr. Amit Kumar, Secretary, Indian Yoga Association, Ranchi and others attended the programme and addressed the gathering. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand too attended the programme. Almost 1000 people attended the programme. Students who were first in the Annual Competition were honoured.
Another programme was organised in three villages, Soba village of Burmu Block, Lumkana village of Bero Block and Kuturlowa village of Angara Block, where the Ashrama conducts the Vivekananda Seva Sangh Activities.
In Soba village, Swami Yogadhishananda, Br. Rajiv Chaitanya, Sri Pradip Kumar Mahato and Smt. Vanita Devi- Member of Panchayat Samiti was present. The programme was followed by worshipping Sri Ramakrishna and garlanding the cutout of Swamiji and offering flower and incense sticks. The programme continued with Swadesh Mantra, speeches by different speakers. Almost 150Â people attended the programme.
In Lumkana village, Swami Ishwarananda, Br. Devatmachaitanya, Sri O.P. Sharan, Sri Ghanshyam Oraon and Sri Ravi Oraon and Sri Mahadev Oraon (Social Worker) were present. The programme was followed by a rally, inaugural song and garlanding Swamiji with Shanti Mantra. The programme continued with Swadesh Mantra, speeches by different speakers. Children gave presentations from the life of Swamiji. There was prize distribution among the children. About 220 people attended the programme.
In Kuturlowa village, Swami Nishchitananda, Sri Chiranjiv Mondal, Sri Jaypal Singh Mahato, Sri Ramananda Bediya (Social Worker) were present. The programme was followed by cleaning the village. Then Swamiji was garlanded with worship and Vedic Mantra. The programme was followed by Swadesh Mantra, reading from Swamiji. Other cultural programmes including football competitions were also organised. There was a presentation from the life of Swamiji. Prize distribution was organised. Almost 450 people attended the programme.
Prize-distribution of Annual Competition was organised in online mode in association with Indian Yoga Association, Ranchi and Lions Club International, Ranchi. The programme was attended by Hon’ble Justice Aniruddha-Bose, Supreme court of India; The Chief-Justice of Jharkhand– Dr. Ravi Ranjan; Pro-Chancellor– Swami Atmapriyananda, RKMVERI Belur Math. Swami Suvirananda, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur Math and chancellor of RKMVERI, Belur Math; Sri Rahul Sharma, Secretary, Department of School and Literacy Development, Ranchi, Jharkhand. In the Annual Competition, more than 58000 entries were registered.
