Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh celebrated the National Youth Day and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 11 and 12 January 2022 in a befitting manner. Programme was organised to infuse patriotic-saint Swami Vivekananda’s Man making and Nation building ideas and ideals in the life of our present young generation. To this effect, the centre has organised Drawing-Painting and Speech competition for students of Higher Secondary Schools. In these events in all 34 students from 10 different schools took part.
On 12 January 2022 afternoon the prize distribution programme was organized. Dr. Baluram Mili, MD from Demaji, Assam was the Chief Guest, Dr. Saikat Patra and Swami Vedasarananda shared the dais as guest speakers. In the concluding programme along with the distribution of the prizes, Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh had conferred a one-time scholarship to 20 poor and meritorious students from 10 schools. During the entire programme 150 students, teachers, and devotees remain present in the Vivekananda Hall following COVID-19 latest SOP.
