In all, 199 units of the Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, an integrated child development project aimed at all-round development of poor children in backward areas and slums, were run by 24 Math centres and 52 Mission centres. Out of these, 181 units were funded by the Headquarters which spent Rs. 9.26 crore. Children were given coaching on their school subjects and classes on values education, music, drawing, etc were held. They also, took part in daily prayer, sports and games. Milk and other nutritious food, dresses, stationery items, educational aids, toiletry, etc were provided to children and periodic health check-ups were held. 10,043 children (5064 boys and 4979 girls) were benefited through this project.
