Ramakrishna Math, Naora organized Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15 August 2022. Swami Jnanalokananda ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House & Cultural Center presided over the function. Swami Tapamayananda, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math and other monks of our order were the guests. Sri Sankar Pal, Sr. Manager of RVNL/Metro was the chief guest.
In the morning the students, teachers of Free Coaching Centre & GAP Unit along with many well-wishers and devotees attended the Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Our Ashrama. Two Cottages funded by the Relief Section of Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math were handed over to two widows by Swami Tapamayananda and Swami Divyarupananda. 100 Coconut Trees received from the Forest Department of Govt. of West Bengal were distributed among the villagers. 102 spectacles were distributed among the underprivileged patients who have attained special eye camp on the 5th of this month.
Football matches between 14 coaching Centres on the 11th of this month and the final match on 15 August where Swami Jnanalokanandaji handed over the trophy to the runners-up and winners and other players.
Prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd who have joined the Essay Competition. Around 50 students participated in the competition. Certificates and tailoring material was handed over to the 30 women who successfully passed the tailoring training course.
In the afternoon session, Swami Jnanalokananda, Swami Tapamoyananda and Sri Sankar Pal and other dignitaries gave valuable lectures to the students and observers. The students of our Free Coaching Centre, Spoken English and GAP Unit performed Song, Yoga, Recitation, Dance and Drama “Sabhachi” by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
