In March 2026, Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, organized three successful eye camps to serve underprivileged communities in the region. These camps focused on providing specialized screenings and surgical interventions for those with limited access to medical facilities.

The initiatives were conducted as follows:

  • Bazarichera Camp (11 March 2026): Under the supervision of Dr. Vikram Dam from Silchar, 71 patients were examined. Following the screenings, 15 patients underwent successful cataract surgeries.
  • Sri Gouri Camp (16 March 2026): A second session was held where 41 patients were treated. After careful screening, 6 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and successfully operated upon.
  • Badarpur Camp (24 March 2026): The final camp of the month saw a significant response, with 103 patients examined. From this group, 24 patients suffering from cataracts received successful surgical treatment.

All three programs were supported by dedicated local volunteers and medical staff, ensuring that a total of 215 patients were screened and 45 cataract surgeries were completed throughout the month.
