Ramakrishna Mission, Kasundia, Howrah, organised Bhakta Sammelan (Devotees’ Convention) on 14 January 2024 to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission. The Bhakta Sammelan was held in two sessions, which started at 9:00 a.m. with vedic chanting followed by the inaugural speech by Swami Sarvavidananda Maharaj, Secretary of Kasundia centre, and devotional songs by Swami Shivadishananda Maharaj.Â
Swami Tattwasarananda Maharaj, Principal, Probationers’ Training Centre, Belur Math, and Swami Shastrajnananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur, delivered valuable speeches on ‘Application of spirituality in day-to-day life’ and ‘Good effect of practice of Vedanta in the eyes of Swamiji’ respectively.Â
Swami Sarvapriyananda Maharaj, Minister-in-charge, Vedanta Society, New York, spoke on ‘Swarup Sandhane Vedanta O Vijnan’ and answered the questions from the audience before the end of first session.Â
After the lunch break, the second session started at 2:00 p.m. with devotional songs.Â
Swami Sarvapriyananda interacted with the audience. After that Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur Math, delivered a valuable lecture on ‘125 Years of Ramakrishna Mission’ and spoke about the achievements during the period which enthralled the audience. This Session ended with the closing song ‘Ramakrishna Sharanam’.Â
Almost 1000 devotees from far and near attended the Sammelan.
