In continuation to the COVID-19 pandemic relief services, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sarisha has served cooked food and distributed soaps, detergent powder and masks to the nearby villagers.
The Ashrama distributed cooked food – 128657 full meals to the nearby 30 rural areas among the poor daily wage earners and also distributed 6926 Toilet Soaps and 3306 packets Detergent Powder (500 grams each) and 250 pieces masks 02 April to 17 May 2020.
The Sarisha ashrama has distributed cooked food to 4332 families (total 128657 persons) of Sarisha, Kamarpole, Bunorhat, Kalagachia, Bhusna, Bagda, Nabasan, Mahisgot, Abdalpur, Katapukur, Nawsh, Jobrali, Kalicharanpur, Jangalpara, Madpur, Kabadkhand, Mathur, Rekha, Kushberia, Sukdevpur, Halder (Nwsa), Jhinga, Nahanna, Chhoto Bhusna, Kalitala, Pitambara, Malipota, Patuapara, Mohanpur and Kharipukur villages, of Diamond Harbour Block I and II, South 24 Paragana Dt., from 2 April to 17 April 2020.
In the wake of lockdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sarisha started relief services.
As on 4 April 2020, the Ashrama distributed cooked food among 1113 families and 1822 plates of meals (each meal consisting of rice, dal, vegetables, soybean). The Ashrama also distributed 1235 soaps , 1120 detergent packets . 100 masks were distributed to the social workers.
